BC Lions +3 at Toronto Argonauts -3 — Over/Under 53

The BC Lions are clicking on offense and their last 5 games have gone Over the total, including a 40 point effort last week against one of the CFL’s better defenses. Now, the Lions will have a chance to secure a playoff spot with a win in Toronto. The Argos will be starting QB Ricky Ray over Andrew Harris, who is coming off a couple of poor outings. Toronto has the worst defense in the East, and allowed a struggling Montreal team to put up more than 30 points, something they had only done once this season.

Prediction: Over 53 points

British Columbia is 8-2 SU in its last 10 games when playing on the road against Toronto
The total has gone OVER in 5 of British Columbia’s last 5 games
Toronto is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games when playing at home against British Columbia

Saskatchewan Roughriders +14 at Calgary Stampeders -14 — Over/Under 50

The Roughrider’s defense let them down in their final home game of the season, and it looks like this team may have packed it in, because they are winless on the road and must travel to McMahon Stadium in Calgary, where they have been dominated as of late. Saskatchewan haven’t just been losing games, they have been failing to cover the point spread, which is a bad sign because they were keeping games close early in the season.

Prediction: Calgary Stampeders -14

Saskatchewan is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
Calgary is 8-2 SU in its last 10 games when playing Saskatchewan
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Calgary’s last 6 games when playing Saskatchewan

Ottawa Redblacks +4 at Hamilton Ticats -4 — Over/Under 52.5

Hamilton got embarrassed last week in a blowout loss to the Lions, and as a result, their first place in the East is now in jeopardy.  the 40 points that Hamilton gave up was by far their largest total all season, and it came in a game where they were physically dominated at the line of scrimmage. Look for Hamilton to reassert themselves against an Ottawa team that is coming off a series of close games, and may have a letdown against a hungry Ticats team. Also, the status of Henry Burris for this game is questionable, and if Burris doesn’t start the spread is likely going to move, so it would be wise to get in early if you like Hamilton.

Prediction: Hamilton Ticats -4

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Hamilton’s last 6 games when playing at home against Ottawa
Ottawa is 2-6 SU in its last 8 games when playing Hamilton
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Hamilton’s last 5 games

Montreal Alouettes +8 at Edmonton Eskimos -8 — Over/Under 44

Kevin Glenn and the Montreal Alouettes will be fighting for their playoff lives when they travel to Edmonton. The Eskimos, on the other hand, have won 7 straight and are looking to seal up first place in the West with a win. The weather conditions for Sunday’s game look to be poor, which could hamper two offenses and make this game a low scoring affair.

Prediction: Under 44 points

Montreal is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games
The total has gone UNDER in 12 of Montreal’s last 16 games
Edmonton is 3-8 SU in its last 11 games when playing Montreal
