Winnipeg Blue Bombers +7 at Toronto Argos -7 — Over/Under 49.5

Although this is the final game for the Argos at the Rogers Centre, it has no playoff implications and Toronto will be sitting many of their starters, including Chad Owens. Being the final game of the season, Winnipeg head coach Mike O’Shea is going to have his players motivated against his former team. This includes Dominique Davis, who will be making his CFL debut as Winnipeg’s starting QB. Toronto, on the other hand, seems to be more concerned with the playoffs and getting Ricky Ray reps. Ray struggled when he had all his weapons in the game, and he probably won’t do much better with them on the sidelines.

Prediction: Winnipeg Blue Bombers +7

The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Winnipeg’s last 9 games on the road
Winnipeg is 1-4 SU in its last 5 games when playing on the road against Toronto
The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Toronto’s last 10 games at home

Hamilton Ticats +4 at Ottawa Redblacks -4 — Over/Under 48

The Ottawa Redblacks are favoured to win the East and put the capstone on a rather remarkable 2015 season. Hamilton’s woes at quarterback continue to get worse, with Jeff Mathews sidelined with a concussion that he suffered in last week’s loss to Ottawa. So, this means Hamilton will have to rely solely on their defense from here on out. Last week, neither team could score, so look for another defensive struggle between these division rivals.

Prediction: Under 48 points

Hamilton is 8-17 SU in its last 25 games on the road
The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Hamilton’s last 6 games
Ottawa is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games at home
The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Ottawa’s last 9 games when playing Hamilton

Calgary Stampeders -1.5 at BC Lions +1.5 — Over/Under 47.5

This is another game that has no playoff implications for either team, and it is unclear what kind of personnel the coaches will go with, or for how long. Calgary is resting QB Bo Levi Mitchell, while BC is starting Travis Lulay in order to rest Jonathon Jennings. This is the type of game that sports bettors should leave alone.

Prediction: Pass

The total has gone OVER in 7 of Calgary’s last 10 games when playing British Columbia
Calgary is 8-4 SU in its last 12 games when playing on the road against British Columbia
The total has gone OVER in 6 of British Columbia’s last 8 games at home
British Columbia is 3-10 ATS in its last 13 games when playing at home against Calgary

Saskatchewan Roughriders +9 at Montreal Alouettes -9 — 48.5

In a matchup between two struggling football teams, the Montreal Alouettes are favoured by 9 points, which we feel is too much. Although Saskatchewan’s struggles have been evident, the Al’s are in complete disarray after being beat 40-22 in a must-win game last week, and broke a streak of 19 straight seasons with a playoff berth in the process. The Jim Popp ‘Magic” seems to have worn off and they have no business being favoured by so much.

Prediction: Saskatchewan +9

Saskatchewan is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Saskatchewan’s last 6 games
Montreal is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games
The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Montreal’s last 5 games when playing at home against Saskatchewan
Montreal is 6-1 SU in its last 7 games when playing at home against Saskatchewan
