CFL 2016: Week 2 Odds and Predictions

CFL Week 2 odds + predictions

Ottawa Redblacks -1 at Montreal Alouettes +1 Over/Under 54

Henry Burris will be sidelined with injury and Trevor Harris will be making his first start at quarterback for the Redblacks. Yet, the Redblacks still find themselves as road favorites and it is with good reason because Harris went 17/19 for 323 yards and 3 touchdowns after replacing Burris midgame.

Prediction: Redblacks -1

Toronto Argos +4 at Saskatchewan Roughriders -4 Over/Under 51.5

The Argos were beaten soundly on their BMO Field debut in Week 1. Now, they must travel to Saskatchewan and face ravenous fans in the Roughriders season opener at home. Toronto looked out of sync in their Week 1 loss and Saskatchewan is going to be a rough outing for them.

Prediction: Roughriders -4

BC Lions +6 at Hamilton Ticats -6 Over/Under 50.5

Both of these teams looked impressive in Week 1, but the Lions victory of Calgary had a little more lustre than Hamilton’s blowout win over a struggling Argo’s squad. Last week’s win shows the this BC Lions squad is much improved and should keep it within the 6 point spread against a team that may show some letdown after Chad Owen’s big game against his old team.

Prediction: Lions +6

Winnipeg Blue Bombers +10 at Calgary Stampeders -10 over/Under 49

The Blue Bombers are without Weston Dressler and really struggled offensively after he was knocked out of the game with a concussion. That does not bode well against a Calgary team at home who are looking for their first win on the season. With Winnipeg’s struggles to score, it may be safer to take the under 49 here than lay the big spread.

Prediction: Under 49
