CFL Week 11 Betting Odds and Analysis

cfl week 11 betting analysis and odds

At this time of year the CFL tends to get overshadowed with Labour Day hangover and the opening weeking of the NFL taking place. But hardcore fans are still demanding their Canadian football and we have the betting odds and analysis for CFL Week 11 here!

Calgary Stampeders -3 at Edmonton Eskimos +3 Total Points 56.5

The Edmonton Eskimos are now on a 7 game losing streak and the team was ripped in a press conference by GM Ed Hervey. Hervey focused much of his criticism at the offensive line, especially Simeon Rottier, for not protecting QB Mike Reilly. Edmonton trailed 37-7 but scored 27 unanswered points in the 4th Q to make a game of it. This shows what Reilly is capable of doing if given adequate time to throw. The Esks are 3 point underdogs and if they can carry that momentum from last week into this game there is a good chance they will end their losing streak.

British Columbia Lions +1.5 at Hamilton Tigercats -1.5 Total Points 54

The BC Lions held their ground last week against the Ticats but they looked quite shaky at times and failed to cover the 6 point spread. Now the Lions will be heading on the road where they are are 1-3 this season with the only win coming over Edmonton in a game that was a lot closer than the 17-3 scoreline suggests. The Lions have allowed 124 points on the road and the defense has been absolutely scorched in every game save for Edmonton which occured in a heavy rain storm. Hamilton was able to put up 26 points on the road against BC so it figures they will be able to move the ball with ease at home and have been made -1.5 point favourites.

Toronto Argonauts +2.5 at Montreal Alouettes -2.5 Total Points 50

With QB Ricky Ray sidelined, backup Zach Collaros and the Argos offence have been struggling to score points. Collaros had success earlier in the season but as teams have seen game tape of him they have been able to gameplan better and shut down the mobile quarterback. Since Collaros has taken over for Ricky Ray in the 2nd quarter against Calgary, the Argo have only scored 16 in over 90 minutes of football. Recent trends point to the under and the oddsmaker has the total listed at 50 point, the lowest on the board this week.

Saskatchewan Roughriders (-8.5) at Winnipeg Blue Bombers (+8.5) Total Points 55

The Saskatchewan Roughriders recent domination of Winnipeg continues as last week the ‘Riders covered the two touchdown spread and beat the Bombers 48-25. There seems to be no end for the Bombers’ woes as they have to play Saskatchewan again, and having home field advantage isn’t much consolation for Winnipeg because the Riders have come into town and won the last 5 games. After being lit up for 310 yards and 4 touchdowns by Darian Durant last week, the Bombers are 8.5 point underdogs.
