Winnipeg Blue Bombers -3.5 at Ottawa Redblacks +3.5 Total Points 45

The Redblacks failed to break their CFL high losing streak last week and it has now reached 9 games — a franchise record for futility. Ottawa’s inability to score has been the biggest problem, especially at home, where they only scored 7 points last week (2 FG’s and a Rouge). Winnipeg is on a 4 game losing streak themselves and are trying to climb out of the West Division basement. The Bombers have given up 324 points this season (second worst in CFL) which might help Ottawa’s scoring woes.

Calgary Stampeders -4.5 at Saskatchewan Roughriders +4.5 Total Points 46.5

Saskatchewan are in a dogfight for 2nd place in the West and the pressure has been on since the injury to starting QB Darian Durant. Now, the Riders have turned to rookie QB Seth Doege and he will be making his first CFL start. In fact, it will be Doege’s first start since playing for Texas Tech and he is excited to play against Calgary’s Bo Levi Mitchell, who are familiar with each other after both playing high school football in Texas.

Edmonton Eskimos +3.5 at Toronto Argonauts -3.5 Total Points 53.5

The Argos had a bye last week and thus were not responsible for the low scoring games that went on. In Week 15, the 53.5 points is by far the highest total on the board and the only total over 50 (which is unusual for the CFL). These two teams have a history of racking up the points when against each other and 4 of the last 5 meetings have gone over. Ricky Ray and the Argos will be looking for a win against his former team after slipping to 3rd place in the East behind Montreal (and out of the playoffs).

British Columbia Lions +3 at Hamilton Ticats -3 Total Points 44.5

The Hamilton Ticats have turned their season around and find themselves in 1st place atop the East Division. Hamilton are quickly becoming stalwarts at home after going 3-0 in the newly built Tim Hortons Field. It has been Hamilton’s defense that is responsible for the run of good play and the D has only given up 38 points combined in those 3 home wins. As a result, this total is et at 44.5 and it is the lowest on the board in Week 15.
