CFL Week 20 Sports Betting Preview

It is Week 20 and the CFL regular season is wrapping up, but the playoff picture still isn’t complete and teams have their backs against the wall in “must-win” situations. Sports bettors can check out our preview which breaks down the playoff scenarios, along with points spreads, stats and recent trends.

Ottawa Redblacks +6.5 at Toronto Argonauts -6.5 Total Points 45

The Argos are in a must-win situation as they host the Ottawa Redblacks on Friday Night Football. However, they will have to win without the services of QB Ricky Ray, who is out with concussion-like symptoms. This means Trevor Harris will be making his first ever CFL start, and he will have to be on top of his game, because Ottawa is not laying down and seem to be cherishing their role as spoiler in the East.

Ottawa is 0-5 SU in its last 5 games when playing on the road against Toronto
The total has gone UNDER in 8 of Ottawa’s last 11 games
Toronto is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games at home
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Toronto’s last 5 games when playing at home against Ottawa

Calgary Stampeders +2 at B.C. Lions -2 Total Points 46

The Stampeders have already wrapped up first place in the West and they will be without the star RB Jon Cornish after he suffered a concussion last week when he slammed his head into the snow covered turf in Calgary’s loss to Winnipeg. The Lions figure to be the more motivated team, as a win would force Saskatchewan to travel East for their playoff game.

The total has gone UNDER in 14 of Calgary’s last 21 games
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of British Columbia’s last 5 games
British Columbia is 18-6 SU in its last 24 games at home
British Columbia is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing at home against Calgary

Montreal Alouettes +3 at Hamilton Tigercats -3 Total Points 45.5

Montreal has already clinched a playoff berth, but they can take 1st place in the East with a win. Hamilton can clinch a playoff spot with a win, and what makes things more interesting is that Hamilton can clinch 1st in the East if they win by 8 points or more. The Alouettes are the better team right now, as Hamilton has looked very shaky in their last few games.

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Montreal’s last 6 games
Montreal is 0-5 SU in its last 5 games when playing on the road against Hamilton
The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Hamilton’s last 8 games
Hamilton is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games at home

Edmonton Eskimos +3 at Saskatchewan -3 Total Points 44

Heading into Week 20, the Edmonton Eskimos have sealed up 2nd in the West no matter what happens, and they will be resting key players like QB Mike Reilly. Saskatchewan has clinched atleast a crossover spot, but with a win and a BC loss, the ‘Riders will finish 3rd in the West. Saskatchewan QB Darian Durant has been cleared to play, but we are told he will not be starting. However, ‘Riders coaching staff has said he will be available, and if this game ends up having playoff implications, don’t be surprised to see Durant take over at some point.

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Edmonton’s last 6 games
Edmonton is 6-13 SU in its last 19 games when playing on the road against Saskatchewan
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Saskatchewan’s last 6 games
Saskatchewan is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Edmonton
