NCAA College Football Bowl Betting Season 2012

College football bowl series betting for Canadian sports bettors!
Although NCAA Football is no the most popular sport among Canadians, few can resist placing a few bets during the season of College Bowl games that are taking place right now! We will highlight some games that look to be interesting and let you know the best place to do your NCAA Bowl Game betting this year.

The most entertaining games tend to be the “Bowl Championship Series” or “BCS” games which feature the best teams in NCAA College Football. The BCS games take place after the new year in 2012 and are preceded by a series of bowl games featuring some of the lesser ranked teams in College Football. We will preview the BCS games for Canadian bettors and give you a schedule of all the other Bowl games that are taking place.

2012 Rose Bowl: Wisconsin vs Oregon
Both Oregon and Wisconsin are looking for their first Bowl game win under the national spotlight in this meeting of two high powered offensive football teams. Both teams have scored over 80 touchdowns this season, and there are only 12 other teams who have done that since 1996. Currently the odds makers have Oregon as a 6 point betting favorite.

2012 Fiesta Bowl: Stanford vs Oklahoma State
All eyes are Stanford Cardinal Quarterback Andrew Luck, who is most likely playing in his final game before entering the NFL draft. Luck is the most coveted College prospect in quite some time and is predicted to be drafted 1st overall. Oklahoma State on the other hand is considered the better football team and they are looking to prove to everyone they should nave been in the National Championship game. Odds makers have Oklahoma St. as a 4 point betting favorite.

2012 Orange Bowl: West Virginia vs Clemson
This game is being billed as possibly the most entertaining of all the College bowl games this season. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said “I’d be surprised if there’s not some points scored in this one” when asked about the meeting between the two electrifying offenses. Both offensive attacks are lead by explosive Quarterbacks, but West Virginia’s record breaking Quarterback Geno Smith is a Miami native and will be looking to impress when he returns home for the Orange Bowl, the biggest game of his career. Odds makers have Clemson as a 3.5 point betting favorite.

2012 Sugar Bowl: Michigan vs Virginia Tech
The sugar bowl is surrounded by controversy as both Michigan and Virginia Tech were invited ahead of higher ranked teams. It is believed that this is due to Sugar Bowl operators wanting “marquee” teams that are more likely to draw fans and viewers. Needless to say, teams like Boise St. that were snubbed are feeling a little disappointed. Virginia Tech is felt to be the most undeserving and have taken most criticism. Their defense will be looking to make a statement after giving up 31 points to lower ranked Clemson on Dec 3rd. Odds makers have Michigan as a 3 point betting favorite.

2012 BCS National Championship Game: LSU vs Alabama
Being called the “Game of the Century” #2 ranked Alabama taking on #1 LSU in a clash of College Football’s best teams. This is also a rematch of when these teams met each other earlier on this season again ranked #1 and #2 respectively. That game ended with LSU winning a nail-biter in overtime and remain undefeated on the season (13-0). Alabama (11-1) will try and avenge it’s only loss and once again contain the high powered offense of LSU. Odds makers have LSU set as a slight 1 point betting favorite.
