Sports Interaction has GSP as the (-130) favorite over Micheal Bisping (+100)

Georges St. Pierre has been out of action since his 2013 win over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167. While on a 12-fight winning streak he vacated his welterweight title and said he was taking some time away from MMA. Since then, there has always been rumours that he would return and now they have finally been confirmed.

What makes his return to the UFC all the more interesting is that he will be taking a new challenge by stepping up to middleweight and fighting for the championship belt that Micheal Bisping currently holds. The move to middleweight also sets up a potential superfight between GSP and Anderson Silva that hardcore fans have been hoping for.

Before any talk of a superfight with Silva, GSP will have to get through Michael Bisping. The oddsmakers have made him a slight favorite, despite the fact he has not fought in nearly four years. This is because those close to GSP say that he has been training throughout this hiatus and is actually better than he ever was before.

Bisping and GSP have both defeated a common opponent in Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller. The fact that Miller was able to hold Bisping down by using grappling will give GSP confidence that by using his he can do the same thing, considering his high level wrestling skills.
